ABOUT US

As a family, we McKenzies love our cricket!  Our daughter and son both play and Ellie spends many an hour watching Lily and Sam, whilst Russ umpires when the farming calendar allows.  As Sam progressed through the Northamptonshire County age groups, we became aware of the lack of indoor practice facilities available locally for club cricketers of all abilities and we were inspired to set up a facility of our own.

 

During the various lockdowns, we trialed a number of systems (using our children as guinea pigs) and finally, in November 2021, we were ready to go.  The grain store was emptied and lighting, nets, and flooring were installed.

As the farm progressed we required further grain storage and a new barn was built in 2025.  This then allowed us to expand to a further 3 lanes, specifically for pace bowling with 21 metre run-ups.  We are now able to offer high quality indoor batting and bowling lanes for cricketers to work on their technique out of season.
